Lansinoh Wearable Breast Pump
Lansinoh, a well established provider of mother and baby care essentials, was looking to refresh some of their product line. Competitors had emerged, including some very well-funded high tech startups such as Elvie and Willow. DDI worked with Lansinoh to advance multiple new products in parallel, one of those products was a new Compact Wearable Pump (CWP).
CWP features several innovative features and delivers superior performance in nearly every category as compared to significantly more expensive wearable breast pumps. The CWP also utilizes a patented collection cup which features a diaphragm with an integrated check valve. This eliminates the historically problematic check valve which is both difficult to clean and often lost.
The wearable cup has less total parts than any other collection cup, which means it is easier to put together, easier to clean and presents less opportunity for mis-assembly. DDI evolved the product through multiple rounds of design/prototype/test on an aggressive timeline. DDI delivered a higher level of performance for Lansinoh which enabled them to outperform their competition.
Not only did DDI provide Lansinoh with an outstanding new product, but the total development cost was a fraction of the comparable investment made by Elvie and other similar competitors.
The product is available on the Lansinoh website and Target website.
