RAH Winder
Design Department, Inc. (DDI) partnered with our client to develop an innovative new product that would efficiently manage earbud headphones and the lengthy cables that are commonly associated with Apple iPhones and ad their predecessor, iPods. The basic requirements were to design and develop an electromechanical device that would attach to the back-side of an iPhone or iPod, provide functional microphone use, incorporate storage solutions for the earbuds, and integrate an auto-rewind mechanism for the cable.
DDI successfully advanced the RAH Winder from concept to reality in a fully functional physical prototype within 12 weeks. Included in this time frame were several rounds of design and prototype iterations required to integrate various functional elements into the design. Development of these design elements required creativity to deliver robust design solutions that were simple and easy to operate for the user.
Thanks to our experience in producing quality, functional prototypes, we were able to provide what the client needed for the RAH Winder in a timely fashion. DDI excels in the development of concepts and prototypes utilized in the electronics and telecommunications industry. We use our prototype development skills to bridge the gap between concept and reality!
